It was a fantastic weekend! Saturday, we went to a brother of Pascual, who lives in a village in the mountains. In the morning Pascual made some lunch to take to his brother. The village is located in a valley. Pascual, Jaime, and I walked down, approximately 5 km from the top of the mountain to the village. The view was just ineffable! On the way home, Pascual showed his livelihood when he was younger. He for example showed us where he lived, and where his parents worked.
Sunday, I had a very active day. In the morning, Jaime, Ria, Pascual, and I went to a fronton pitch (a kind of squash). It was my first time I practiced this sport, but I already played tennis two years ago, so I was doing okay with it. An hour later we went back home, and had lunch. Pascual made some Paella with chicken and vegetables. After we finished lunch, Jaime, Pascual, and I went mountain-biking in the surroundi
ngs of Salamanca. It was very nice to notice the much different the landscape is from the Netherlands. In spain everything is pretty hilly and yellow, but in the Netherlands everything is very green, fertile, and flat. As we arrived home, we had a little brake and after that we went for a 6 kilometers walk around El Encinar.
